Ericka Lutz is a continuing faculty member at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, where she is the writing consultant for the Evening & Weekend MBA Program. She also teaches writing and rhetoric for UC Berkeley Extension, writes and edits fiction and nonfiction, is a writing coach and consultant, and much, much more. We look to Ericka when we want to get our point across. Allison Randall is the Program co-Chair for O'Reilly's Open Source Convention and Energy Innovation Conference. Her first geek career was as a research linguist in eastern Africa. But eventually her love of coding drew her away from natural languages to artificial ones. Allison is the architect of Parrot (a virtual machine for dynamic languages), on the board of directors of The Perl Foundation, and founder and president of Onyx Neon. She co-authored Perl 6 and Parrot Essentials, and has edited various O'Reilly books on dynamic languages including Perl Hacks and Programming PHP. Allison is our point person on all things related to the big world of Open Source software development. Dr. Henry D. Delcore and Michael J. Scroggins are Anthropologists based in Fresno, California. Dr. Delcore is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at California State University, Fresno. His research experiences include rural development and environmental change in Thailand and social and cultural conditions among Southeast Asian immigrants in Fresno. At Fresno State, Dr. Delcore leads an interdisciplinary initiative that teams undergraduate students from engineering, entrepreneurship and anthropology to develop commercially viable technological innovations. He is also involved in user experience research to generate ideas for designing better products and services. Dr. Delcore has a MA and PhD in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Foreign Service, Asian Studies from Georgetown University. Mr. Scroggins is a researcher with the Institute of Public Anthropology at CSU Fresno. His research interests include the anthropological study of organizations, science and technology. He works as a user experience researcher and adviser to early stage companies and has recently completed a ten month study of technology use and adoption in rural California. Our Anthropology team helps us stay objective about the proclivities of our users. Michael Kelly has strong entrepreneurial, consulting and senior management experience in technology and financial service companies worldwide. He has founded and restructured companies in Europe and the US. He is a consultant to a number of early stage technology companies, and recently acted as President and CEO of Vialogy plc. We turn to Michael when we need guidance as a commercial venture.
